“The Eurozone debt crisis rumbles on and whilst there has been some positive news with policymakers finally agreeing on the framework of a plan, the end game is far from sight. Risk markets were buoyed by the events that unfolded at the 26th October European summit and in particular the economically-sensitive energy and banking sectors rose substantially in the immediate aftermath of the meeting. Most of this gain however was given up in the last trading session of the month. Against this backdrop a marked improvement in economic data was witnessed, particularly in the US.
